Finished product

What have you learnt from completing this task?
I have learnt that there is more to just designing a front cover magazine as you need to consider other areas such a photography, location, planning and research into the magazine genre.

How have you used technology?
To design my magazine I went on the computer/ mac and the programme i used was photoshop. I also used my iphone to take the photos.

What conventions have you used and why?
I have used the mast head, bar code, main article, masthead, main image and feature stories. The reason why I picked these was that I didn't want to overload my first magazine and also they were the main conventions I would expect to see on a magazine

What would you change if you were to do this task again?
I would probably change the whole genre of the magazine to science as it would be more interesting to work around. But if i was sticking with my genre i may change the colour scheme and maybe add more conventions.

Mise-en-scene And Location Ideas

Mise-en-scene
As my magazine is sports themed I got my model to wear sport clothing which was a Leicester tigers rugby shirt and jogging bottoms. Because he was in a rugby kit I got him to hold a rugby ball to add more of an effect.

Location
Because it was a photo of a magazine I wanted a plain background and never intended to go on location anywhere as I wanted all the attention to be drawn onto the model.
